international criminal court

The Elders, a group of eminent global leaders, called on Ouattara to unite the nation through reconciliation. Its chairman, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, said: "I urge President Ouattara to commit powerbalance publicly to a process of accountability. His actions and words in the coming days are critical to the future of Côte d'Ivoire. The people need reconciliation, not retaliation." The president of Equatorial Guinea and current head of the AU, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, condemned foreign military intervention in Ivory Coast and Libya, saying Africa must be allowed to manage its own affairs.France said its military would intervene only if asked by the UN. Gbagbo's camp already blames Paris for supporting his opponents in the 2002-03 civil war. Even before the latest offensive, post-election violence had killed at least 1,500 people – most of them Ouattara supporters – and forced up to 1 million to flee their homes. Many power balance  civilians in Abidjan, a city of about 4 million people, remain trapped in their homes and in urgent need of food and water. The prosecutor of the international criminal court, José Luis Moreno-Ocampo, has said he wants to open a formal investigation of last week's massacre in the western town of Duékoué, where at least 800 people were reportedly killed.Moreno-Ocampo said on Tuesday that it was not yet clear who was responsible for the killings. Barack Obama said he welcomed the role of UN and French forces in Ivory Coast. "To end this violence and prevent more bloodshed, former president Gbagbo must stand down immediately and direct those who are fighting on his shop online 2011 behalf to lay down their arms.""Every day the fighting persists will bring more suffering, and further delay the future of peace and prosperity that the people of Côte d'Ivoire deserve."

Christina-Taylor Green

Not all of her angel statues remain where Hennessy-Owen placed them. Some have been moved into storage or parts unknown. And the statue delivered to Ground Zero weeks after the attacks was almost immediately snared in red power balance tape and black tarp by bureaucrats who didn't think it proper amid the Twin Towers' rubble.Still, she thinks her winged, gowned angel, with hands clasped in prayer, can become an icon around the country. She makes no apologies for her direct approach in offering herself up as a memorial artist."I just go get it done," said Hennessy-Owen, who persuades companies to donate steel and delivery. SPORTS: Charity game honors Christina-Taylor GreenShe made one for the site of the fallen Twin Towers in New York and another for the Pennsylvania field where the hijacked Flight 93 crashed. She created statues in honor of Jessica Lynch, the prisoner-of-war rescued in Iraq in 2003; a Pittsburgh mayor who died in office in 2006; and President George W. Bush after his re-election in 2004."I try to do really good human-interest stories," she said. "It has to be someone pretty special, though." The artist who designed the memorial set to be installed outside a Little League field Friday in memory of Christina-Taylor Green, the youngest victim of the January shooting outside Tucson, is not the type to wait for a municipal shop online 2011 committee to select her for the honor.Lei Hennessy-Owen, 51, already has a design —a thin, steel angel she created after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks —and was looking for opportunities to place it. Her goal is to have angel statues placed at sites around the country.

Texas slugger Josh Hamilton

Texas sends Colby Lewis to the mound for his season debut, looking to pick up where he left off last fall. The right-hander went 3-0 with a 1.71 ERA in four postseason starts, earning the Rangers' only win in the World coach handbags Series against San Francisco.Lewis went 12-13 with a 3.72 ERA in the regular season, making a successful return to the majors after a two-year stint in Japan. He is 1-1 with a 3.12 ERA in eight career appearances versus Boston. The Rangers appear to have a good chance to score more runs in bunches against Lackey. The Abilene, Texas native is 11-12 with a 5.74 lifetime ERA against the Rangers. That's his most losses versus any opponent and his highest ERA against any AL club.He also has a 6.11 ERA in 16 career outings at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.Kinsler is 10 for 23 with two homers off the right-hander, while fellow Texas slugger Josh Hamilton is 9 for 21 with three home runs. Signed to a five-year deal by Boston following the 2009 season in the hopes he'd help front the rotation, Lackey went 14-11 but otherwise had a spotty first year with the Red Sox, posting a 4.40 ERA - his highest since 2004 - and allowing the most baserunners of his career. Beltre had a single, a walk and a run scored against his former club.Gonzalez had a stellar Red Sox debut, going 2 for 4 with three RBIs, but Crawford struck out three times in four shop online 2011 hitless at-bats. "That was a tough day," Red Sox manager Terry Francona said of Crawford. "There will be a lot better days. Hopefully it'll start (Saturday)."

One swing isn't necessarily an answer

Heyward, who is 6-5 and 240 pounds, batted .277 with 18 homers as a rookie. His power potential?"More than 18 homers," Jones says. "The sky's the limit for this kid. He's a tremendous power balance talent. He's capable of hitting .300. He's capable of hitting 35-40 homers in a year, capable of driving in 100-plus runs and capable of playing a Gold Glove right field. He had nine of his 24 homers in September, 25 of his 67 RBI and a .958 OPS (on-base-plus-slugging percentage). One question remained, and Granderson smoothly answered it on the ninth-inning shot to the wall by Brandon Inge against closer Mariano Rivera."Mariano doesn't want balls to fall in front of us," Granderson said. "All spring, we kept pushing it to see how shallow we can play." "Maybe we need to trick him on Saturday and tell him it's opening day again," said Gonzalez, following Bobby Cox, who managed the Braves 25 seasons. "He hit that ball a shop online 2011 ton. I thought (Washington's Rick) Ankiel got his (in the second), and it only made it as far as the warning track in right. That tells you how strong this guy Heyward is." From the shutout pitching of Derek Lowe and four relievers — including rookie closer Craig Kimbrel — to the first-inning double that tested the surgically repaired knee of Chipper Jones and led to Atlanta's first run, the Braves appeared to do everything right in their 2-0 opening-day win against the Washington Nationals. And no one hit a ball better in the 41-degree chill than Jason Heyward, whose second-inning homer made him the second player in major league history to homer on opening day in his first two seasons.  One swing isn't necessarily an answer, just as it doesn't wipe out lingering doubts from 2010.He hit a home run on opening day last year, too, and had two after the Yankees' first three games. He didn't hit another cheap power balance homer until June 1, and was hitting .226 on the Fourth of July. But Granderson and hitting coach Kevin Long attacked the lefties questions in August, rebuilding his swing to reduce unnecessary movement.
